I love when a client get’s so excited about what they do that it becomes infectious, especially when I know they have the ability to help so many small businesses like myself. My clients and friends over at Lambert Commercial Real Estate recently created a division of their company that is focused on helping smaller companies find their perfect space – Atlanta Executive Space. A ton of small businesses work out of their homes and don’t realize that there are other options out there like Executive Suites, Virtual Offices, and sometimes even small Offices for lease. The folks over at AES are willing to put in all the hard work of finding a great space and fighting to get you the best deal with the best terms. As a business owner the part that truly shocked me was when I found out that they get paid by the building owners and not the tenants. So, there is no out-of-pocket costs and you can focus on running your business while they do what they do best.

While helping to develop their site I learned more about their process and truly saw what an asset they are to all of their clients. If you’re a business owner that has to deal with any kind of office space, you need Atlanta Executive Space in your corner.

It’s especially thrilling when I know it will make life a little easier for my clients.

I was recently asked to create a multi-page form to collect information about people looking into Executive Space for their office needs. The form is very complex with a ton of fields. There were two elements to this that were going to make it difficult:

1. Having the form span four pages
2. Having fields appear or disappear based on information the user entered (Conditional Menus).

I’ve hand-coded a bunch of forms, but I had never done those two items so I went digging. What I found was an amazing plugin called Gravity Forms. It’s not free, but if you want to do anything even slightly complex with a form on a site built in WordPress it is worth the $40. It makes creating forms painless and then sends the response in a wonderfully styled email that makes it extremely easy to read.

The original site I discovered this for (AtlantaExecutiveSpace.com) is still being built out at the moment, but I loved it so much that I implemented it in another site. Tin Drum Asia Cafe wanted to have their existing form that collects information on potential franchisees updated so they could have a better understanding of where their prospects were coming from. I accomplished this by adding Conditional Menus that will directly show the results of their various marketing efforts and give them a better understanding of their ROI. You can check out the form here.

There are also some amazing add-ons to this plugin that make it even more robust including simple exporting of collected data, connecting it to email marketing software, and more. If you think this is something that might make capturing data for your site easier let me know if I can help in any way.

I have a pretty wide array of clients, and I can make my style twist and bend to be appropriate for each. It’s rare when a design just looks like the style I lean towards right off the bat. I partnered with Kyle Rollins (who does marketing and promotions) and Marbles Media (who was building the site) to help design the website for the only paintball facility inside Atlanta’s city limits. They already had a logo developed…. and it had 3 elephant skulls on it. How could it be any more fitting than with my company?

Then the style of the site needed to continue on this branding that was developed. Designing this site was one of my favorite projects in the past month. Look for more updates on this as the location gets finished out. And for regular updates check out their facebook page.

Marbles Media and I have a reciprocal relationship. Any web project that has heavy back-end database work, shopping carts that need to be built from the ground up, or custom built content management systems I partner with MM exclusively. Their ability to add functionality to any website is a technical force to be reckoned with. Marbles Media has also brought me on for a handful of websites where I have established the design direction.

I was excited when I first met the ladies over at Everywhere. Something about their energy that they radiated was contagious to everything and everyone…. except for their website. That was when they asked me to give their website a little refresher to add some color and interject a bit of their personality. The site was already built on a custom wordpress theme that was supposed to make it easy to update. I went in and used a stock theme that could easily be modified to add all of the functionality they wanted. On the left you can see the old site and on the right the one that I updated. To see the live site, please click here.
